Indian Premier League - Twenty20 Cricket

Indian Premier League's success has shown the future of Cricket especially Indian Cricket. The reasons which compels me to say is that, players of different regions who were not visible to the indian selectors are competing with the top notch players of the world and giving them a scare about their presence. As rightly said by Greame Smith that he is surprised by Swapnil Ashnodkar's performance in the IPL and the shots by little man are powerful enough to rattle the biggie(smith). Swapnil reminds me of Romesh Kaluwitharana of Srilanka who partnered with Jayasuriya in the 1996 world cup. The way he battered Pigie(Mcgrath) into all parts of ground, it reminds me the final of 1996 world cup, where in Kaluwitharan took the wings of Pigieon Apart. The emergence of Biggie Pathan (Yusuf) was a revealation to me, the way the indian selectors ignored the talents pool available within Indian Rural Areas. Pathan, Swapnil, Yo-Mahesh, Joginder, Praveen, Mishra, Chawla, Kohli, Sangwan, Tiwari, these youngsters are the future of indian cricket, if they are groomed with the experienced pro... Specially mention to Chawla & Mishra the two leggies found in this series are a revelation to Indian Leg Spin after Hirmani who can turn the ball in any kind of pitch and the way they showed their control over the ball either in the early, middle or end stages of game is excellent. Many of you would be thinking why i didn't mention Legendary Anil Kumble , is it deliberate or just lost his mention? Special Regards to Kumble who is true fighter and an unique leg spinner since he is not turning the ball much like warney or murali... he is unique in his own, the way he controls the ball. i remember once richie richards while batting mentioned to Mongia that this guy is not a leg spinner but a Medium pacer running from a very very short distance.. may be that was a tribute to kumble or just the sake of saying, the very next ball saw richardson walking towards pavillion after his stump was broken by kumble's flipper...
To be fair , i need to understand whether the selectors can do the brave thing by rotating players by forming a pool of young players and selecting the team with a mix of youngsters with experience pro like sachin, dada, dravid & laxmans both in the ODI & Test Arena... Will Dhoni take this responsibility, as dada took when he introduced yuvraj, kaif, pathan, bhajji, & dhoni himself....
One thing for sure is that besides BCCI Making lots of money as do the franchisees, we see a lot of youngsters coming to stage and performing brilliantly. Hope the selectors take fair amount of cue from this season and bring the change to take Indian Cricket Forward....
